Rental Conditions
Maison “Le Mondelve”
In accordance with French legislation, only the French text of our general conditions is legally valid. What follows is a translation from French to English.
Art 1 – Application
The general conditions apply to each room and to the grounds of our Chambres d’hôtes, unless otherwise agreed in writing and signed by the owner or lessor.
Art 2 – Duration of Stay
The stay in our Chambres d’hôtes can only be for tourist reasons, with a limited duration of stay. The guest cannot under any circumstances invoke any right to extend the stay.
Art 3 – Reservation
The reservation is only valid when the guest has paid the deposit; this deposit amounts to 25% of the stay, with a minimum of one night per reserved room. Our prices are all-inclusive (including reception, bed & bathroom linen, interim cleaning, and mandatory final cleaning, breakfast on request).
For a stay reserved at the last minute, the total amount due is settled at the latest on the day of departure.
Art 4 – Payment
The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the start of the stay on the specified bank account or in cash upon arrival.
If you order additional services on-site, such as breakfast or consumptions, they will be charged on the day of departure.
Art 5 – Cancellation by the Guest
Any cancellation must be notified in writing (or by e-mail). The following costs will be charged:
In case of cancellation up to 60 days before the start of the stay; the deposit of 25% is refunded, any bank charges due by the owner or lessor are deducted from this amount.
In case of cancellation between 60 and 31 days before the start of the stay; the deposit of 25% is not refunded, the remaining balance is waived.
In case of cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the stay; the full amount is charged.
If you decide to shorten the stay after arrival; the full booked duration of the stay is charged.
Art 6 – Cancellation by the Owner or Lessor
If the owner or lessor is obliged to cancel the stay, the guest will be immediately informed in writing or by telephone. Previously paid amounts will be refunded immediately, and Art 5 does not apply.
Art 7 – Arrival and Departure
The guest is expected from 14:00. In case of late arrival (after 19:00), the guest must inform the owner or lessor in writing or by telephone. If it is a short stay and the guest has not arrived by 19:00 without prior notice, the agreement is considered not concluded. The owner or lessor can then dispose of the room. The deposit, if any, is not refunded in this case.
The guest must vacate the room by 11:00 at the end of the stay and leave it tidy.
Art 8 – Tourist Tax
The tourist tax (taxe de séjour) is a local tax that the owner or lessor must charge to the guest and pay to the municipality. This amount is stated separately on the invoice.
Art 9 – Use of Common Areas, Garden, Pond & Woods around the Buildings
The guest is expected to maintain the peace and use the facilities, buildings, and furniture exclusively for their intended purposes. Between 22:00 and 07:00, the guest is expected to maintain silence in and around the accommodation. The guest undertakes to leave the rooms in good condition.
Art 10 – Capacity
The agreement is made for an exact number of people. If the number of guests is higher than previously agreed and there are no more guest rooms available, the owner or lessor has the option to refuse access to the extra guests.
The owner or lessor will discuss with the guest whether there is a possibility for extra capacity in the accommodation itself or in the immediate vicinity. The owner or lessor cannot be obliged to arrange accommodation for the extra persons. This refusal cannot under any circumstances be understood as a modification or cancellation of the previously made agreement by the owner or lessor.
Art 11 – Pets
Pets are not allowed in the rooms, in the building, or on the grounds of our Chambres d’hôtes.
Art 12 – Smoking Ban
Smoking is not allowed in the house and in our guest rooms. Smoking is allowed outside at a designated place by the owner or lessor, provided that this does not disturb the neighbors and other guests.
Art 13 – Liability
The lessor is not liable for accidents (both material damage and physical injury) that befall the tenants. The use of the pond is entirely at the tenants' own risk. In the case of children, the guardian or parents are responsible for supervising the children at the swimming pool.
Art 14 - Warranty Deposit
Upon signing the rental agreement, the tenant must pay a Warranty deposit of €1,500, along with the rent. This deposit serves as a guarantee for any damage or unexpected costs that may arise during the stay. If no damage is found, the warrenty deposit will be refunded no later than one week after leaving the vacation home.
